How to Measure Your Head For Lace Wigs
Consider prepping your hair before taking measurements.
The way you prep your hair for measurements is the way the hair will need to prepped before applying wig. This is to avoid bulges that may distort head contours.
We use measurement tapes in inches.
When measuring DO NOT stretch the tape but placing the measuring tape outside of your natural hairline.
- Hair pinned up
- Hair lying Flat with or without a wig cap

Circumference of head: Position tape measure so its edge follows the hair line around the head and nape of the neck.

|
Ear to ear across front forehead/hairline: Measure from hairline at base of side-burn, up across the hair line keeping your tape along forehead.

Temple to temple round back: From temple to temple across the back of the head
|
|
Front to Nape: From forehead to nape of neck measure from front hairline at center of forehead straight back over crown to center of hairline at nape of neck.

Ear to ear over: Ear to ear across front hairline measure from hairline at base of side-burn, up across the hair line keeping your tape along forehead.

Nape of Neck: Measure the width of hairline across the nape of the neck.
|

HINTS for taking accurate measurements:
1. Hold the measuring tape snug but not tight. 2. Keep the measuring tape flat against your head. 3. Take the measurement 3 times for accuracy. Consistent measurements will indicate correct measurements. 4. We recommend cloth measuring tapes. |
